After 10 very successful years with us, our Music Director Tom Newall is stepping down to pursue new projects and we are beginning the recruitment of a new MD - to start in September 2027.

This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the North West’s biggest and oldest choral societies – supported by a committee that encourages creative programming and new ideas.

The deadline for applications is 11 September 2026.

Other key dates are:

• w/c 21 September 2026: face to face interviews for shortlisted candidates, in Salford (venue tbc).  

• 7 October 2026: three candidates will be invited to work with the choir at our rehearsal on 7 October, at Hemsley House, Salford M5 4PE.

• By 31 October: confirmation of final candidate
